Helping the homeless is what Project Winter Survival is all about.
Project Winter Survival brings together people from local communities of all walks and engages them to get together, assemble and build survival kits for the homeless that are living on the streets. These kits have over 30 essential items in them that can make a difference between life and death. The project was founded 19 years ago and is rolling out across Canada in cities that have challenges with the homeless not going inside during the winter months.
In this episode we speak with Jody Steinhauer, Founder of Project Winter Survival about her work, and how she is helping address the issue of homelessless- providing help and hope to many who need, and deserve a break.
